Alisa has experienced the exciting and beautiful world of skating for over 40 years from competitions and medal awards as a USFSA member of the St Moritz skating club at Dublin Iceland Coached by Lois Rankin, Tom Huff, Monte Tiedemann, and Greta Borgen to a career as a professional show skater, including TV appearances arial acts and working as a show publicist, being coached by multiple prestigious choreographers and performance directors while touring the Ice Capades, Snoopy on Ice, Great America, Chapel and Garden Productions and Richard Porter Productions while touring the United States, Canada and Japan. Her love of skating also inspired her desire to coach children participating in the Special Olympics program and was presented with 1994 Contra Costa youth service award. During her career as a licensed real estate agent, she continued to skate competitively as a member of the ISIA with the San Jose Synchronized Adult ice skating team winning 3 gold medals including Nationals. Her goal as a skating coach is to teach other the skills of skating to experience the enjoyment of this sport, desire to compete, and the development of self discipline and confidence.

Emily Clinkscales is a US Figure Skating Association (USFSA) and Ice Sports Industry (ISI) certified Competitive & Recreational Coach/Instructor, who has been teaching at Tri-Valley Ice since 2020 and is a part of the Peninsula Skating Club. Having skated for over 10 years, Emily is a USFSA Gold Medalist in Moves in The Field, which she completed after only 3 years of skating. Emily coaches all aspects of Figure Skating with an emphasis on the USFS Basic Skills Program. What sets her apart from other coaches is her ability to work with both Hockey and Figure Skaters. She specializes on Jump and Spin Technique, Choreography, Moves in the Field, and off-ice conditioning; as well as Edge Work that is vital for a Hockey Players success. She is available to teach all levels of skaters, from beginners to adults- for both Hockey and Figure Skaters! Emily is committed to creating a well-rounded skater by continuing her education in off-ice training. She is a Certified POP Pilates Instructor and is Certified through NASM in Personal Training, Nutrition, as well as a Specialization in Corrective Exercise. Theo has been on the ice since he was just over a year old! His mom has the home videos to prove it! He has been playing ice hockey for the past 15 years practicing both skating and hockey skills. He is a two-time (undefeated) champion with the Tri-Valley Blues during his Sophomore and Senior year of High School, and has 8 years of Coaching experience teaching Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced figure skating/hockey skills. Coach Theo has been working with Tri-Valley Ice skating programs for the past 8 years, coaching everything from entry level skating classes for Both hockey and figure skating, as well as working with upper level students in both concentrations. He is commonly known around the rink as “Orange Beanie Guy” for the bright neon beanie he is often wearing. Theo takes a relaxed approached to skating and hockey skills looking to inspire the same love of ice sports that he found at an early age. He is a visual learner and looks to make each lesson as accessible to every style and skill level of student.
