Alisa has experienced the exciting and beautiful world of skating for over 40 years from competitions and medal awards as a USFSA member of the St Moritz skating club at Dublin Iceland Coached by Lois Rankin, Tom Huff, Monte Tiedemann, and Greta Borgen to a career as a professional show skater, including TV appearances arial acts and working as a show publicist, being coached by multiple prestigious choreographers and performance directors while touring the Ice Capades, Snoopy on Ice, Great America, Chapel and Garden Productions and Richard Porter Productions while touring the United States, Canada and Japan. Her love of skating also inspired her desire to coach children participating in the Special Olympics program and was presented with 1994 Contra Costa youth service award. During her career as a licensed real estate agent, she continued to skate competitively as a  member of the ISIA with the San Jose Synchronized Adult ice skating team winning 3 gold medals including Nationals. Her goal as a skating coach is to teach other the skills of skating to experience the enjoyment of this sport, desire to compete, and the development of self discipline and confidence.

Emily Clinkscales is a US Figure Skating Association (USFSA) and Ice Sports Industry (ISI) certified instructor, who has been teaching at Tri-Valley Ice since 2020 and is a part of the Peninsula Skating Club. From the first time she stepped on the ice she knew that skating was something she wanted to do; and coaching is no different! Having skated for over 10 years, Emily is a USFSA Gold Medalist in Moves in The Field, which she completed after only 3 years of skating. Emily is committed to creating a well-rounded skater by continuing her education in off-ice training which is vital to a skater’s success. She is a Certified POP Pilates Instructor, and is working on her Certifications through NASM to add Personal Training, Nutrition, with a Specialization in Corrective Exercise- into her coaching career. She incorporates her own experiences from training and competing, to be the coach that she wished she had when she had first started her own skating career.  Emily coaches all aspects of skating with an emphasis on the USFS Basic Skills Program. And also specializes on Jump and Spin Technique, Choreography, Moves in the Field, and off-ice conditioning. She is available to teach all levels of skaters and ages, from beginners to adults. Her goal as a skating coach is to inspire the next generation of skaters to become the best version of themselves that they can be, whether competitive or recreational- to create memories while on the ice, develop confidence through their movements, and continue to skate with joy as they continue.

Beginning at just 5 years old, Justine has been skating for 12 years! She grew up skating competitively and performing in various shows, but she had only began coaching during her freshman year of high school. When she is not skating, Justine enjoys practicing American Sign Language. Justine has been a certified “Learn to Skate” coach at Tri-Valley Ice since 2020, and she enjoys coaching all ages from beginner to advanced levels. Whether they choose to skate recreationally or competitively, she aspires to craft an environment for skaters that is fun, easy-going, and motivating to instill a long lasting love for skating.

Ethan is an experienced Skills and Development Hockey Coach. He has over 10 years of playing and 5 years of coaching experience. In 2017 he was selected for the USA Hockey National Team Development Camp. Ethan specializes in skating, stick handling and shooting. He provides video review for players in the AHL, the USHL, NCAA Division.
